HPC Industrial IS Driver Class A in Deer Park, Texas

HPC-Industrial Powered by Clean Harbors in Deer Park, TX is looking for a CLASS A CDL DRIVER to join their safety conscious team! The CLASS A CDL DRIVER responsibilities may include working in different environments and working alongside several diverse types of equipment. This position is not just a driving job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Always be on time for work and fit for duty. Ability to travel overnight based on what business dictates.

  • Manage expiration of driver’s license, medical card, and Hazmat Endorsement.

  • Maintain DOT logs using an ELD (Electric Logging Device) DAILY .

  • Follow all DOT rules and regulations.

  • Report all roadside inspections to management immediately and before continuing the trip.

  • Follow all rules pertaining to hours of service.

  • Properly placard vehicle transporting hazardous materials.

  • Always have all issued PPE on hand and in good condition when transporting chemicals.

  • Accurately secure load before any trip.

  • Safely handle and mix chemicals.

  • Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, pumps hose connections, chemical circulators, and general work area prior to starting any job. Inform supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.

  • Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as but not limited to pumps, hoses, and circulators in accordance with operations job schematics, training, guidelines, and safety procedures.

  • Monitor all equipment during circulation for integrity and efficiency. Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to wearing personal protective equipment.

  • Must be to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, hot, and cold industrial environments.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • General labor experience is a plus.

  • Experience in chemical cleaning is a plus.

  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.

  • Valid driver’s license or identification card.

  • MUST have transportation to and from work.

  • CDL (Class A Preferred)

  • Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.

  • Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments and at high elevations.

  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.

  • Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.

  • Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.

  • Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lbs.

  • Physically capable of standing and or walking continuously for extended periods of time if necessary.

  • Physically capable of climbing, bending / stooping, and kneeling continuously.
