This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

The Manager -Consumer Risk position is based in TBD and will report to the Vice President of Producer Marketing. This position will have a core focus on producer and end user risk management tools and strategies across multiple ADM businesses who originate commodities and sell products and ingredients. The position will require senior leadership and business development skills, continuous process improvements, and strategy development to expand the overall ADM Customer Risk Management business

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continue to enhance and grow producer origination risk management offerings

  • Expand the consumer risk management business and strategy leveraging the knowledge, skills, processes and resources of the existing producer origination desk and other existing internal capabilities

  • Determine strategic counterparty relationships needed to build and scale

  • Achieve or exceed producer origination metrics

  • Develop long term business plan for North America that includes strategic growth while helping to scale efforts in other regions, including but not limited to Mexico and Brazil.

  • Reconcile monthly P&L’s and provide estimates as requested

  • Execute and manage cleared options flow

  • Own the strategy around OTC type hedging instruments to meet the needs of producer origination and consumer customers without adding unnecessary risk to ADM

  • In conjunction with the ADM hedge desks, lead and monitor derivative risk positions either internal or counterparty

  • Lead consumer contract standardization as it relates to formula based pricing mechanisms

  • Engage, train, educate origination, sales and marketing personnel across ADM businesses to effectively position and offer embedded risk management solutions to customers

  • Work to implement best practices and continuously improve processes

  • Lead third party service provider relationships and agreements

  • Champion the application of internal and external technology used by our producer origination team to repurpose for consumer side of risk business

  • Develop and lead contract execution and settlement activities (internal and third parties) in coordination with producer business

  • Internal customer service and problem solving on contract explanation, product positioning, and execution processes

  • Provide in person and remote training on contract execution procedures

  • Lead marketing automation efforts from a data management standpoint

  • Proactively establish and maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values

  • Conduct Market Outlook Meetings for external audiences

Position Requirements:

  • BS degree in Business discipline, Agriculture or related field of study preferred

  • 8+ years of hedging, trading, and risk management experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of risk management applications and customer service

  • Strong oral, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Collaboration skills across all levels of the organization

  • Functional understanding of commodities, derivatives, options, futures and physical contracts

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with AGRIS, QTR, Salesforce, Power BI preferred

  • 30% travel estimated
