Description

Essential Functions:

  • Lead the teams and manage the sales, operations, brand, and customer experience of all existing and new store locations through the direct supervision of District Directors and their respective teams

  • Embrace and model the way with the agency Mission, Vision, and Values

  • Foster positive and effective relationships throughout the agency

  • Be a collaborative partner across all departments to ensure a financially sound business and healthy team culture

  • Lead recruitment efforts in partnership with the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Team for management and hourly team members

  • Hire, develop and retain the best talent for leadership roles; identify skills needed to support growth and development

  • Ensure all agency policies and procedures are followed

  • Lead and assist in the annual budgeting and planning for all retail stores

  • Work closely with store operations to develop and implement all continuous quality improvement activities on current and new processes and procedures

  • Ensure best practices are consistently executed across all district and store locations

  • Direct, plan, and support new locations and grand openings

  • Assist District Directors in achieving Donated Goods Retail and agency wide goals

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Five (5+) plus years' experience in multi-unit supervision of high-volume locations required; general management of ten (10+) plus years

  • Excellent motivational and diplomatic skills

  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional results

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills.

  • Strong ability to lead teams in managing and embracing change in a fluid environment

  • Demonstrated ability to hold direct and indirect reports accountable and demonstrate a high degree of proficiency and comfort with conflict resolution

  • Ability to perform as a corporate leader and/or department leader

  • Ability to manage all aspects of a 80+ million-dollar retail operation

  • Experience in immediate and long-range strategic planning, goal setting, and implementation

  • Knowledge of and experience with financial budgeting and analysis

  • Must have and maintain a valid Georgia issued driver's license while maintaining a good driving record and meeting the standard of the agency insurance carriers

  • Maintain dependable transportation and communication devices

  • Proficiency with software including MS Office Suite

  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

  • Willing to travel

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

  • Most duties are performed in the field with travel to all Goodwill of North Georgia, Inc. locations required

  • The ability to push, pull and lift 30 lbs., bend, reach and grasp with or without accommodations.

  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, bend, reach and grasp, tolerate environmental issues such as dust, heat and cold, as well as meet all physical requirements to perform the duties
