  • Minimum of a Masters degree in Deaf Education, Visual Impairments, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Rehabilitation, Business Administration or a related field.

  • or -

Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Deaf Education, Visual Impairments, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Rehabilitation, Business Administration or a related field + 10 years of successful, recent senior level administrative experience with an education or rehabilitation agency responsible for statewide programs.

At least seven years recent senior level administrative experience with an education agency or rehabilitation agency responsible for statewide programs.

At least five years recent senior level experience implementing and overseeing accessibility supports and accommodations for individuals who are Deaf, Blind, DeafBlind and/or those with physical, cognitive or hidden disabilities.

Ability to work with agencies, professionals, parents and adult consumers to develop, maintain and continually expand statewide consumers and their families, birth throughout adulthood.

Work history that demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of PL 99-457 (Part C) IDEA, Americans with Disabilities Act, the Rehabilitation Act and other pertinent laws related to services of individuals birth through aging.
