Emerson Software Engineer in DEBRECEN, Hungary

As a Software Engineer, you will solve complex problems that have a profound impact on how we reach our customers when they do business. This is an area of constant transformation, driven by the need to adjust our internal processes to better serve our customers, and the continuous improvement cycle required to keep our technologies efficient and up to date. You will be a member of our global Pricing & Quoting IT product team, will work on several IT solutions to support sales and marketing areas and partnering with internal users. To thrive in this role, you must embrace an engineering mindset, possess confident technology knowledge, be well-versed in object-oriented programming, and have knowledge of software development lifecycle management.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Ability to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications.

  • Knowledge of software development principles and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)

  • Knowledge of DevOps principles to ensure that software is developed, tested, and deployed efficiently and effectively, including additional skills related to automation, infrastructure management, and deployment processes.

  • Ability to learn and improve your skills with the help of your mentor and teammates.

  • You establish and maintain effective customer relationships.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of IT

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant software engineering experience in multinational environment

  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written

  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively in multinational team environment and capability to work alone

  • Solid knowledge of (Oracle) database management systems

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite

  • Mulesoft experience would be nice to have

  • Experience with Salesforce out of the box development, declarative development, custom/apex development

  • Familiarity with software security principles and best practices

  • Experience with GIT, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Kubernetes (K8s)
