You will join a team who likes to collaborate onsite once or twice per week in our Dearborn office.

A technical exercise will be requested before the formal interview, giving the candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their experience of driving the solution to a simple problem using tests.

  • Conduct test driven development, behavior driven development, paired programming, and continuous integration and delivery.

  • Experience working with Rally to develop user stories that contribute to a valuable working software product.

  • Develop automated unit tests with working software to confirm software functionality conformance to functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Develop automated functional tests to confirm user story acceptance and to detect regression defects.

  • Improve continuous integration tooling by automating manual processes within the delivery pipeline and improving quality gates based on past experiences.

  • Review ongoing production software operations and troubleshooting production issues

  • Monitor application operation and performance metrics to manage application and identify failures in production.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience

  • 4 + years of Java software application development experience

Even better, you may have...

  • Experience with moving from on-prem to Cloud

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership, self-starter with a proactive attitude

  • Delivers results consistently even with challenges with the aptitude to recognize roadblocks and escalate issues as needed

You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!

As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home?
