Integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (I-ERP) is the Ford initiative designed to drive operational efficiency and material cost reduction by adopting industry-leading practices, enabling real-time insights and faster decision-making. I-ERP involves end-to-end change for financial and procurement processes, with SAP as the technology facilitating the changes. This role supports the I-ERP Corporate Finance and Purchasing Teams globally.

I-ERP (PTR Integration team) is looking for a hands-on and highly motivated candidate who can work with a global team that is integrating, developing & deploying SAP S/4HANA for Finance and Purchasing. You will lead different aspects of the end-to-end delivery, working with a large cross-functional team of Finance business subject matter experts, and IT leads from numerous integrating systems.

What you’ll be able to learn in this role:

  • SAP S/4 HANA training will be provided.

  • Over time, you will be learning several key finance modules of SAP & become an expert in SAP technologies.

  • IERP is always evolving & is in the process of implementing the latest SAP technologies (Ex: SAP Rise)

What you’ll be able to do:

  • Understand the current finance & purchasing business processes across all regions/plants & with business skill teams like (Manufacturing (CMMS), Product Development, Ford Credit Services, Treasury, Marketing Sales & Services (MS&S), Order Fulfillment (Global order to delivery (GOTD) /Global Order bank (GOB), PDO) Human Capital Management (HCM (Human Resources)) Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDIA), Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD)

  • Understand the functionality of current Legacy associated upstream and downstream systems.

  • Work with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process/legacy systems to industry-best standards/technology/ systems.

  • Recommend possible technology/process solutions to address gaps.

  • Coordinate testing with external application interfaces and identify defects and issues.

  • Work with upstream and downstream applications and reduce data dependencies.

  • Analyze commonality in Legacy and S/4 terminology and create mapping documents.

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT), and cutover activities during active launches.

  • Analyze S/4 Hana tables and fix data issues using firefighter access.

  • Provide support in deploying SAP S/4 across various sites globally and integrate with both legacy & other best-in-breed applications.

  • Join daily PDO stand-up calls to review the status, and any help needed, and plan for the next day/week's work.

  • Work on Production Incidents (Project manager will assign Incident)

  • Work on new enhancements (PM will assign change requests)

  • Work collaboratively with team, business, and other PDOs

  • Defect resolution: analyze, debug, and identify the issue's root cause.

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of configuration experience in S4 FI and CO modules

  • Prior experience in creating Use cases, user stories, and other requirements/specifications artifacts.

  • Demonstrated that provided functional specifications and work with Software Engineers (ABAP, Fiori) Conducting and supporting testing on the SAP platform.

  • 1+ years’ experience in multiple implementations of SAP ERP solutions with full life-cycle participation.

  • Previous experience in participating in solution design and performing unit testing/integration testing and UAT.

Our preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience

  • Experience in SAP MaxAttention tool to support the business and on the SAP BASIS side to support the enhancement pack upgrade.

  • Experience working in a multi-company code, multi-currency environment is required.

  • Ability to perform in-depth hands-on configuration of required SAP FICO modules.

  • Analyze problems and troubleshoot to find the root cause.

  • Ability to read and debug ABAP code (but not perform any technical development).

  • Development experience using various SAP development technologies including but not limited to the following: ABAP, Integration, and UI tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience working in a Product Driven Agile Organization.
