Job Title: Projects Coordinator

Job Status: Full-time

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Projects Coordinator will assist in the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Projects Coordinator will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle and assist in other programs as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, budgets, and preliminary schedules

  • Maintain effective communications and relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and contractors

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines, ensuring that deliverables are met on time

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and records of decisions

  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations

  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them

  • Track project costs and manage budgets, ensuring financial efficiency

  • Provide administrative support as needed, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and follow-up actions

  • Assist in and execute special projects as assigned

  • Carry out projects as assigned including youth projects

  • Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Advanced concepts, principles and practices of effective social services needs and resource availability to meet such needs

  • Grant and other funding sources related to the assigned functional area

Skill in:

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft Office

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and proficiency in project management software

  • Excellent interpersonal skill is a must

Ability to:

  • Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

  • Handle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional manner

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Bachelor-s degree preferred

  • Required Disciplines:

  • Business Administration, Project Management or related field

and

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Social Work in project coordination or a similar role.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human Resources

    Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: None

    Working Conditions:

Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required

Travel Required: Possible local travel up to 10%

Working Environment: Climate controlled office
