Jones Sign Staff Accountant - De Pere, WI (1) in De Pere, Wisconsin

We are looking for one (1) Staff Accountant to join our team at our De Pere, WI facility.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of all facets of the financial operations of the company, including Inventory and asset management, financial statement preparation, cash management, Participation in budgeting activities, analyses, account reconciliations, bank account reconciliation and cash management, and other duties as assigned from time to time.

Duties and Expectations:

· Prepares and completes monthly journal entries related to inventory, fixed assets, liabilities, and other financial statement categories.

· Responsible for suite of financial reporting documents at month end.

· Participate in the development of new procedures and features to improve the workflow of the department and provide training to new or existing staff, if necessary.

· Develop expertise in general ledger components of internal ERP system.

· Liaise with external auditors for filing income tax returns and statutory audits. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

· Responsible for maintenance and adherence to internal controls.

· Provides support on an as-needed basis to other departments regarding financial information or requests.

· Perform any other special duties, projects, or analyses as directed by management.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.

· Manufacturing experience with an organization engaged in inventory conversion.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel

· Strong analytical skills.

· Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized with a good understanding of financial and operational controls.

· Ability to handle multiple projects, work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
