Robert Half Software Engineer in Dayton, Ohio

Description

We are seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join a remote team that is local to the Greater Cincinnati/Dayton, OH region. The successful candidate will be part of our dynamic and innovative team, where they will be involved in the design, development, and implementation of software solutions in a variety of industries.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software applications using technologies such as Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL.

• Work closely with the team to design and develop high-quality software solutions.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Typescript.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software applications.

• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve software performance.

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including ideation, architecture, design, development, testing, and support.

• Work on both internal and client projects, depending on experience level.

• Work remotely, with the possibility of occasional on-site meetings when necessary.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer.

• Proficiency in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Typescript is required.

• Demonstrable ability to design, write, test, and debug software applications.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues and clients.

• Willingness to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with version control systems like Git is desirable.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is beneficial.
