About the role: Samsara's Deal Desk team partners closely with our Sales organization to drive market wins and achieve our revenue targets. We are a highly collaborative, global team from a diverse range of backgrounds, focused on making Samsara Deal Desk a great place to work and develop our careers. As a part of the Deal Desk team, you will work with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Success, Product, Legal, and Finance to define deal success and align on a commercial strategy that is a win-win for the customer, Samsara, and our partners. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, intellectually curious, possesses a strong commercial mindset and interpersonal skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with other teams to solve commercial challenges. This role is open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, Austin metro, California, Chicago metro, Connecticut, Dallas metro, Denver metro, Houston metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, and Washington DC metro. In this role, you will: In close partnership with Sales, guide the structure and execution of Public Sector deals while optimizing for customer experience, revenue, profitability, and compliance. Influence deals by advising on optimal deal structure, discounting best practices, and standard commercial terms. Educate Sales on standard commercial strategy to drive deal velocity and repeatable success. Evaluate deal financials, including deal margin, payment terms, and cash flow, to optimize deal execution against departmental and company financial targets. Mitigate risk through application of standardized terms, ensuring deals align with company policies and revenue recognition requirements. Monitor the North America Public Sector Deal Desk support request and quote approval queue, consistently maintaining SLAs with quality work output.
