Propulsion Systems Engineer Secret Aerospace City Dayton State Ohio Country United States Job Description ENSCO has an immediate opening for a mid-level systems engineer, with experience in aircraft propulsion systems. In this role, the candidate will directly support the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and provide system design, development, integration, and test products and subject matter expertise of a wide variety of aircraft engines for the US Air Force. The candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total aircraft propulsion systems. Essential Job Responsibilities As part of the candidate's primary duties, they will: * Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and engineering principles * Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications * Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to speed innovation, increase operating efficiencies and assist in development, integration and certification of complex systems * Participate in the System Engineering life cycle, including requirements development, architecture development, system analyses (reliability, maintainability, etc.), integration and test planning, and system verification * Employs various testing, analysis, and modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance * Apply requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle fuel and tank systems Qualifications Required (Skills) Qualifications Required (Skills) * 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field * Demonstrated skills in planning, implementing, and reporting on Systems Engineering activities on previous propulsion related efforts * Experience in a variety of aspects of aerospace design development processes including design, analysis, testing and integration * Candidate will be required to work with other engineering disciplines * Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret security clearance Qualifications Desired * Experience with MBSE tools, such as Cameo, Enterprise Architect, and/or Rhapsody * Working knowledge of MATLAB, PYTHON, and other programing languages * Knowledge of engine test facilities and capabilities available within the U.S. Air Force or industry * High-Speed Airbreathing propulsion experience * Solid rocket propulsion experience * Multidisciplinary Design, Analysis, and Optimization experience #LI-MM1 Req ID 3624BR Internal Position Title Senior Systems Engineer Employment Status Regular Full-time U.S. Citizenship Yes Background Check Type 7 year Pre-employment Drug Screen Type None Export Control and Licensing None Contract Award Contingency Yes Recruiter Merideth Molnaird Benefit Highlights * Annual education tuition reimbursement * 401(k) Plan with up to 6% dollar-for-dollar company match * Medical, dental and vision insurance * Spending Accounts - FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and HSA * Leave available for holidays, bereavement, jury duty, military service, family medical leave, and as required by State law * Paid Time Off * 100% Company paid Employee Assistance Program and life, disability, accidental death and dismemberment, business travel accident, and professional liability insurance (employee only) * Other voluntary programs, including supple
