Description Decypher is seeking Interventional Cardiovascular Technologist candidates to support the DoD contract at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. The successful candidate will possess the required education, skills, and experience called for in the contract as described below. US Citizenship and active NACI clearance required. Responsibilities * Perform duties within the scope of practice determined by didactic, laboratory, and clinical technological education and registration. * Review and/or record pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data. * Perform appropriate clinical procedures and obtain a record of anatomical, pathological, and/or physiological data for interpretation by a physician. * Exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic services. * Participate in interventional cardiovascular catheterization and/or cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including balloon angioplasty, stent insertion, radiofrequency ablation, and pacemaker and/or implantable defibrillator insertion. * Operate equipment identified in the TO. Perform daily warm up and assigned quality control checks of the equipment. * Receive patients and explain procedures, providing humane and appropriate care and communication to alleviate fear of examination. Correctly position the patient for the examination and adjust as necessary for the required examination. * Input key test data and patient information into computer of equipment to maintain record of test results. * Identify abnormalities during testing and determine the need for additional scans of affected area. * Recognize anatomic variants and determine which other area(s) of the body should be scanned. * Maintain and clean equipment on a regular basis in accordance with MTF policy. Stock and maintain an adequate level of supplies required for diagnostic procedures. Recommend necessary repairs when diagnostic quality is degraded. * Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization in which a small tube, or catheter, is transmitted through a patient's blood vessel from an area in the patient's peripheral vasculature to the heart. * Assists physicians in angioplasty, which can be used to treat blockages of various blood vessels or heart valves without the need for heart surgery. * Assists physicians with performing transeptal procedures which can be used to treat openings in the septum without the need for heart surgery, or for ablation of arrhythmias. * Assists physicians with performing intravascular/intracardiac ultrasonography. * Assists physicians with invasive Electrophysiology and surgical procedures including diagnostic studies, ablation, and cardiac device implantation in diagnosis and treatment of cardiac dysrhythmias. * Assists physicians with insertion of Intra-Aortic Balloon Catheter and initiation/ discontinuation of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump Therapy. Responsible for operating machine per operator's guidelines, serving as a resource for the health care team. * Prepares patients for cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, cardiac device implantation, and angioplasty by shaving, cleaning, and aseptically draping the area of access. * During the procedure,
