As we grow, we are seeking an experienced Aviation Planning Project Manager to support clients, internal and external, on deploying technology and implementing programmatic solutions, helping them realize their vision and drive toward their goals. Our ideal candidate would be an Aviation Project Manager located within the State of Texas with a broad planning aperture that includes Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans, Site/Facility Plans, and Statewide Planning Efforts. Additional preferences include experience in emerging technology and polices regarding Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and other aviation enterprise technology. Our ideal Aviation Project Manager is one that is forward-looking, collaborative, and energized to expand Woolpert's existing footprint as an industry leader within the established fields of Aviation Planning and AAM as well as other emerging technology niches. Success will be measured by your ability to develop, lead, and manage profitable growth through meaningful client relationships. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the National Aviation Services Operations team and dedicated aviation staff to deliver the practice goals. Assist in business growth of Aviation Planning, AAM applications, and other consulting services by developing and supporting a pipeline of new and existing business/contract opportunities. Drive partnerships with other consultants in the aviation industry to win and perform projects. Develop and maintain industry expertise in emerging technologies and regulations, including partnerships with strategic industry leaders. Maintain a thought-leader/Subject Matter Expert profile in the industry by preparing related articles and/or speaking at regional conference presentations. Work with staff to ensure successful project delivery, consistent quality, customer satisfaction, financial performance, and team/office satisfaction. Manage, monitor, and forecast metrics including: Backlog, Profit and Loss, Sales, Net Revenue, Utilization, Continuing Education, and Non-Billable Travel and Expenses for yourself. Lead and support where appropriate proposals, shortlist presentations, and white papers for prospective clients and participate in contract negotiations with clients. Provide quality reviews of project documentation including work plans thru final deliverables. Advise clients regarding innovative technology and content to help them make better decisions. Recommend relevant strategies and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies. Advise, author, and guide airport planning and design activities on master plans, airport layout plans, and/or airspace integration initiatives for internal and external clients. Understand our clients and know their business. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of 10+ years' of related work experience. Aviation Subject Matter Expertise in one or more areas: Airfield, Vertical, Airport Layout Plans, Airport Master Plans, instrument approaches, pavements, facility planning studies, or site development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment. Must be willing to travel to clients, conferences and other Woolpert offices.
