Dayton Children's Hospital Assistant Manager (Sleep Lab) in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Pulmonary/Sleep Medicine Diagnostic LabsSchedule:Full timeHours:40Job Details:Under the direction of the Medical Director and Manager of Sleep Center and of the Pediatric Sleep Center, the incumbent will develop and implements plans for comprehensive sleep services for inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities: Hiring and training of sleep technicians and/or technologists, family education, personnel management, policy and procedure development, quality control for testing and scoring, and oversight of equipment operation and maintenance. Develop and implement quality assurance/improvement activities, staff training and development.Provides administrative call coverage for the sleep service. Professional technical duties include comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, involving polysomnography, daytime MSLT's, application and teaching for BIPAP, CPAP and home ventilation, Airway Management, Oxygen Therapy, Blood Gas Sampling and Analysis, and Non-Invasive Blood Gas Monitoring, follow-up patient care and education. . They are responsible for scoring and technical accuracy of all testing produced by the lab. Provides technical/clinical support to the Sleep Clinic. Competent with Practice Parameters and Clinical Guidelines for Polysomnography/Sleep Disorders. Maintain proficiency in the domains of practice of the Sleep Technologist. To implement and follow-up on physician orders Acts as a liaison between the Office Manager, Medical Director, referring physician offices, and parents to solve scheduling problems or technical/clinical concerns.

Department Specific Job Details:

Education: Bachelor's degree required. RPSGT or RCP is required.

Experience: 0-3+ years of experience / management experience preferred.

Other skills: Leadership, positive attitude, ability to interact with all levels of the organization, ability to challenge and question with tact. Computer skills including Word, Excel and EMR
