BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: This role will own the development and maintenance of our tag management system. Will work closely with functional managers, developers, and the analytics team to continuously prioritize tag development activities. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with different stakeholders to gather technical requirements for a tagging request, and manage those requests inside a ticketing system such as JIRA

  • Develop Javascript code inside the tag management system to transform data for various platforms, and provide troubleshooting support for data collection and data

  • Supporting marketing initiatives through tag implementation via tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager (GTM), Adobe Launch, Tealium, and more

  • Troubleshooting existing tag setups and providing guidance internally and externally regarding the best practices in digital analytics as it relates to tag management

  • Works directly with business owners and IT to plan, execute, and keep record of technical tagging requirements.

  • Maintaining accountability for overall data quality, conducting audits, and troubleshooting tracking gaps.

  • Conduct tag audits regularly, especially after deployment to ensure that data integrity is preserved and execute removal of tags that are no longer necessary

  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally regarding the best practices in topics related to tag management, consent management, server-side tagging, etc…

  • Identify/solve problems in a fast-paced environment and communicate solutions to the rest of the team and management.

  • Establishing and maintaining best practices for tag management, including design strategy and quality assurance.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure fulfillment of MSC’s vision and unity of purpose.

  • Participation in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3+ years relevant work experience

  • Direct experience with technologies such as Adobe Analytics, Tealium, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, LiveRamp, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, ObservePoint, etc…

  • Skilled in translating business questions into tagging requirements

  • Experience working on Agile marketing teams is a plus

  • Experience working with digital analytics and marketing automation technologies

  • Adept in connecting requirements to technology, uncovering new uses of technology and defining product evaluation criteria

    SKILLS:

  • Exemplify a strong grasp on how to implement, maintain, and use tag management systems to assist clients with their marketing strategies (tools such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe Launch, Tealium, and more) - bonus points if you have experience with server side tagging and consent management platforms

  • Have experience developing JavaScript code inside the tag management system

  • Strong project management skills

  • Highly autonomous, self-starter, high energy, positive attitude with good organization and time management skills

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask simultaneous different projects

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem solving and creative-thinking skills

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent technical leadership, project management, analytical problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • A valid driver’s license required and the ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

  • This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).

    Compensation starting at $72100 - $113300 depending on experience.

    The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
