Arconic is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), who will report to the Davenport Works HR Manager!

Arconic’s Global Rolled Products offers a range of highly-differentiated aluminum sheet and plate products for the aerospace, automotive, commercial transportation, brazing and industrial markets. Our product portfolio is focused on innovation, such as Arconic Micromill™ technology, which produces aluminum sheet that is thirty percent stronger than incumbent automotive aluminum, and more formable and lighter than high strength steel. The HRBP will be responsible for improving employee engagement, staffing (job postings, interviewing, selection), compensation, performance coaching, investigations, and supporting day-to-day needs of large departments (sometimes with hundreds of employees). The selectee will work directly with department / area managers as a partner in achieving their employee engagement, strategic, and tactical goals. While work hours would be primarily day shift, Monday through Friday, this job requires schedule flexibility to attend to HR needs on back shifts and weekends, as required. Some travel may be required as well.

Additional responsibilities

Provide one-stop HR support for his/her assigned department(s) and area(s) of functional responsibility, to include labor relations.

Responsible for plant-wide leadership of select HR functions (examples: production staffing, labor relations, compliance, on-boarding, etc).

Provide timely counsel / communication to customers, as well as be responsible for various people metrics.

Responsible for taking action to ensure that all employment practices under his/her control, including hiring, promotions, demotions, and discipline are conducted in compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements, equal employment opportunity laws, and Arconic policy and values.

Stay current with local, state, and federal laws, rules, regulations and statutes governing equal employment opportunity practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering, or Sciences from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of three years' Human Resources responsibilities
