Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine physician interested in becoming part of a hospitalist group with an opportunity for osteopathic precepting.

Position Title: Hospitalist and Preceptor

Name of Employer: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

Job Duties:

Provide inpatient medical care and treatment of illness and diseases.

Provide internal medicine care to admitted patients (both adults and children).

Examine individuals who are admitted to the hospital and order ex-rays, diagnostic tests, and other lab work as needed.

Supervise Osteopathic residents and students while they are performing Osteopathic Treatments including any Non-osteopathic physician or student who wishes to participate

Perform educational activity including but not limited to the Monthly Osteopathic Conference as well as Resident and Student Evaluations

Participate in the Biannual Osteopathic evaluation of each resident

Required Minimum Position Qualifications:

Doctorate in Osteopathy

Applicants must be:

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

  • Licensed or Eligible for Licensure to practice medicine in Pennsylvania
