Line Cook Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares menu items according to recipe requirements and adheres to product sensitivity and plat presentation guidelines.

  2. Has a working knowledge of cooking stations, menu items, and prep procedures to ensure correct portioning, quality, cooking time and performance standards.

  3. Keeps cooking line clean; stocks and rotates products on line.

  4. Keeps prepared food continuously moving out of the kitchen.

  5. Commutes ticket times and potential service problems, safety issues, and product/equipment deficiencies to the Food Production Manager or Manager-on-Duty in a timely manner.

  6. Keeps updated on promotions and recipe changes. Ensures proper recipe procedures to maintain product quality and consistency.

  7. Anticipates, identifies and corrects equipment breakdowns as qualified.

  8. Performs all other work functions for which employee is qualified as required by business need.

Line Cook Physical Requirements:

Continuous standing

Uses hands 99% of the time

Exposure to heat, steam, smoke and cold

Works frequently in a hot and damp environment

Frequent reaching, bending and stooping in confined spaces

Lifting/Carrying up to 20 lbs.
