Description

Summary:

Ensures the efficient, cost effective and maximum utilization of the WCMG patient management, accounting and scheduling computer system and its related modules. Responsible for coordinating and responding to the activities of the Customer Support Team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Acts as WCMG system administrator. Performs system manager functions. Responsibilities includes: maintain dictionaries & parameters, basic hardware functionality, software & manual upgrades, testing, warehousing data; maximize efficiencies of operations.

  2. Develop backup systems & contingency plans to supplement crisis management, solid accountability & support systems. Format & generate forms, custom reports, downloaded spreadsheets, standard & special reports.

  3. Assists in training program development, establish training curriculum, train new/existing staff at all levels, accounting & scheduling systems & ensure system capabilities are fully utilized to meet the needs of the organization.

  4. Participate in evaluation & monitoring of all departmental operations to ensure effective, efficient courteous, quality service is delivered.

  5. evaluate departmental performance & recommend modifications to operating procedures to meet changing work conditions & customer needs. Communicate & implement approved policy.

  6. Maintain Customer Help Desk to support application users.

  7. Maintain on-going communication with department employees, all levels of management, effective working relationships with other offices/service lines/hospital departments. Facilitate on-going system of inter-/intra-office communications.

  8. Maintain strong working relationships with vendors, WCMG office managers, staff and ITG/technical support representatives.

  9. Work closely with IT and Hospital systems staffs to ensure efficient, cost effective function & utilization of system interfaces to maintain a seamless & integrated computer network.

  10. As critical member of WCMG operations team, participate in decision making processes by researching and communicating alternatives & represent WCMG at a broad scope of meetings.

  11. Research local, regional and national trends & new program to establish current & progressive practices; anticipate & prepare for the future.

  12. Achieve and exemplify the organization's established expectations with regard to high levels of customer service, quality service, team work & self-development.

  13. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

Required: MS Excel. Requires flexibility with work schedule to accommodate a 24/7 operation. Extensive knowledge of customer service, participative management style & networking methods.

Minimum Experience: five years

Desired: Extensive knowledge of computer system, preferably in a medical environment; knowledge of medical/physician billing practices and insurance reimbursement practices; excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills; proven supervisory skills.
