Description

Title: Nuclear Medical Technologist - Danbury Hospital Nuclear Cardiology - Danbury, CT. Full time/40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm or 8:00am - 4:30pm. No call or weekends required.

Summary: The utilization of radiopharmaceuticals and related instruments to measure their concentration in various organ systems for the diagnosis and treatment of specific pathological disorders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Knowledge and ability to perform and teach nuclear medicine procedures.

  2. Proper interpersonal relations between physicians, co-workers and patients and monitoring of patients during tests.

  3. Performs radiopharmaceutical ordering receipt surveying preparation. Dispersal and disposition.

  4. Quality control and operation of nuclear medicine instruments during scheduled and on call hours.

  5. Adherence to ALARA and radiation safety rules and regulations.

  6. Relating to and caring for patients.

  7. Scheduling, record keeping, proper phone etiquette, retrieval and archival of procedure records.

  8. Achieves the organization's established expectations regarding quality service, team work and staff development.

  9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

Required: Associate's Degree.

Minimum Experience: zero to six months. Credentials: ARRT or NMTCB certification.

Salary Range: $39.21 - $72.83 hourly (Union Position)
