Primary Role Focus

Located in the Packers Plus Saudi Arabia Manufacturing Facility, the Order Planning Specialist is responsible for cross department communication, review and input of customer orders into ERP and planning programs, coordinating purchase requirements, monitoring the flow of purchasing and production orders through manufacturing, and ensuring equipment and components are accessible to meet budget goals and deadline deliverables. The Order Planning Specialist uses production scheduling, and integration of digital job tracking and record keeping to maintain adherence to production schedules, task delegations, and output deliveries.

This role reports to the Middle East Manufacturing Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

•Monitor incoming orders and utilize system tools to plan resources, and schedule and prioritize the order flow though manufacturing in the Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP environment

•Provide ongoing operational support though daily operation of the project planning and scheduling systems

•Maintain and update projects to ensure they remain on schedule and deadlines are met

•Identify and resolve job challenges in a timely and professional manner

•Manage opening of transfer orders, sales orders and production orders to satisfy demand

•Review MRP shortages and create purchase requests as required

•Review pending order and quote requests, and provide budgetary and timing feedback

•Plan and recommend new information systems, and oversee the integration into manufacturing and production

•Identify ongoing areas for improvement and integration of IoT, Industry 4.0, and lean manufacturing initiatives

•Ensure compliance with Packers Plus Health and Safety program

Position requirements

Experience and Skills

•5+ years manufacturing experience required

•Manufacturing or Planning Specialist experience an required

•Intermediate to advanced experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP system required

•Formal training or demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing an asset

•Advanced proficiency in digital planning software programs and asset

•Knowledge of equipment tracking processes and project flow

•Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

•Previous oilfield shop or field experience an asset

Education and Training

•High School diploma or equivalent preferred

•Post secondary engineering, business administration, or computer sciences an asset

Physical and Safety Requirements

•Extended periods of sitting at a desk and use of a monitor, computer, keyboard and mouse

•Subject to post-incident and reasonable suspicion drug & alcohol testing
