Polyventive LLC Chemical Operator in Dalton, Georgia
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned:
- Employee will be required to handle hazardous chemicals per established protocol.
- Employee is responsible for overseeing machinery to make chemical products.
- Hook up, set up, and adjust machine such as temperature, pressure, flow of coolant, etc.
- Must follow the direction given by management and the Lead Operator.
- Ensure accurate procedures are followed in [loading or unloading reactors, tanks, or tankers]{#_Hlk158215059} in a safe manner by following all batch sheet instructions.
- Report any concerns, findings, or otherwise needed information.
- Work closely with lead operator to develop specialized skills needed to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and quickly.
- Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions to successfully complete batches scheduled by management.
- Employee must possess the ability to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with fellow employees, members of management, and outside entities.
- Employee will participate in the continuous improvement, expansion, and development of capacity and procedures within the plant.
- Employee must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Employee must ensure that all materials within the workspace are properly stored, consolidated, and labeled.
- Employee must adhere to all procedures, rules and laws provided by Management, Polyventive, EPA, DOT, and OSHA.
- Ascending/descending stairs.
- Must handle all materials with extreme attention to care and safety.
- Must perform all duties necessary and work on an as needed basis. This includes changes in hours worked, duties performed, and vessel location within the plant may vary as needed.
