We pride ourselves on exceptional client service, strong accountability, and governance, making us the top choice for industry executives and the largest revenue-generating US and global tax practice.

Our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team addresses the evolving challenges faced by private capital investors and multinational companies amid changing tax and trade regulations, increased tax risk, and reputational pressures. Our globally connected services support the entire transaction lifecycle, from strategy to disposal, providing robust tax advice crucial for strategic business decisions in a dynamic market, and empowering clients to navigate complex transactions and optimize their corporate structures.

What you will do

If you like solving puzzles, especially where the puzzle constantly evolves as clients embark on new ventures, countries evolve their laws, and courts issue rulings, then international tax might be right for you.

We help our clients sustainably grow their business by assisting them with their cross-border tax obligations, supply chain, transactions, planning, reporting and risk management. As part of ITTS – International Corporate Tax Advisory (ICTA) team, you’ll research and analyze a client’s issue to get a better understanding of the business need, communicate your findings and then articulate an approach in a way your client can understand.

Your key responsibilities include

  • Building on technical competence by keeping up-to-date on trends, developments and technical authorities and applying them to moderately complex situations.

  • Providing timely and high-quality services and work products that clients expect.

  • Building client relationships and demonstrating knowledge of client business.

  • Demonstrating professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.

  • Contributing to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery; keeping team members informed of work status; actively seeking assignments when unassigned; proactively seeking opportunities to provide tax services; challenging traditional procedures used in the past; and attempting to find new, more effective approaches.

Job requirements and preferences

  • Required qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline, and either an LL.M. in Taxation, JD or Master of Taxation.

  • Time management skills to prioritize effectively when working on multiple complex projects.

  • Flexibility to adapt to new challenges and a genuine desire to learn.

  • Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools including Excel, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.

  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.

  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
