Lubbock State Supported Living Center is looking for qualified and compassionate LVN's in Lubbock, TX!

Job Description:

Provides complex vocational nursing work. Work involves providing for the care, treatment, and general welfare of patients. May supervise the work of others. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and performs Nursing duties within the assigned areas and assigned shift. Performs basic and complex nursing tasks to fulfill the health needs of the most medically fragile individuals, including the collection of lab work and other health screenings. Keeps informed of and follows all agency, facility and unit policies and procedures. Assists the RN Supervisor with on-the-job Nursing instruction and training of other new LVN's. Assists the Infection Control nurse by implementing measures that prevent the spread of disease, assists the QA Nurse in developing and implementing quality assurance programs, and assists in the implementation of therapeutic nursing programs.

Minimum qualifications:

· Licensed to practice Nursing in Texas

· 1 year, but preferably 2+ years as a direct care nurse

· Competent in advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes/enteral feedings, Foley catheters, tracheostomies, etc.

Time line for submissions:

· Qualified submissions welcome now through 07/31/2024

· Interviews now through 07/31/2024

· Approximate start date Typically the 1st/15th of each month

· Minimum 6 month contract

· All compliance must be met before candidate can start. No exceptions.

These all require working at least 32 hours and 2 weekends on/1 weekend off.

Position Details:

· Contract Length: 6 months

· Number of Openings: 7

· Shift Length: 36hrs/week

· Shifts: 3 shifts available

· Start Date: July 29th

Compensation:

*Total Travel Package = $1,304wk

*Total Local Package = $1,080wk

Weekly Taxable Income: $504.00wk

*Based upon qualifying for position and allowances. Total package is inclusive of taxable wages and allowances.
