Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician - Level 2 (AT&T-TP-76300 Installer Level 2) to join our dynamic telecommunications installation team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in telecommunications equipment installation or equivalent proficiency. The Level 2 Installer will work under direct supervision and will be responsible for executing various installation tasks in compliance with AT&T’s TP-76300 standards. The Telecommunications Technician - Level 2 is critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate installation or decommissioning of telecommunication systems while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Installation: Perform the addition or removal of non-powered or passive telecommunication equipment under supervision.
Wiring and Connections: Handle the addition or removal of wiring and connections on non-working equipment and switchboard cable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
Lead Verification: Conduct lead verification processes to ensure correct and efficient installation.
Supervised Operations: Undertake Level 3 and Level 4 work operations or job activities only under proper supervision by a manager or a Level 3 or 4 installer.
Adherence to Standards: Strictly adhere to AT&T’s TP-76300 standards and guidelines in all installation activities.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Experience: A minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Telecommunications Technician, performing equipment installation, or equivalent proficiency as determined by the Installation Supplier.
Supervision: Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and follow instructions from a manager or a higher-level installer.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of telecommunication equipment, wiring, and connection protocols.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in installation processes.
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors.
Safety Conscious: Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in all operations.
Career Path:
Advancement: Opportunity to progress to Level 3 after a minimum of 4 years of experience or demonstrating documented equivalent proficiency, as determined by the Installation Supplier.
