Summary
The Technician – Inventory and Rack Systems is responsible for the assembly and construction/retrofit of equipment racks and packages for the purpose of flawless execution of events. This position requires keen electronics understanding and an ability to make component level repairs.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Dallas, TX.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assemble, build and construct equipment racks and packages using wiring diagrams, schematics and instructions
Assist in the planning, including drawing and diagraming, of rack builds and packages when requested
Work directly with the Procurement team in planning, organizing and facilitating component purchases and assembly timelines to prioritize builds based on event needs and requirements
Ability to terminate, solder, and fabricate parts or cables as needed for projects
Maintain the integrity of rack component inventory in inventory management system by conducting periodic audits and interfacing with Asset Management
Daily management of repair records and service tickets
Troubleshoot and perform advanced repairs on a broad range of equipment
Daily oversight of repair parts and supply inventory necessary for rack builds
Coordinate 3rd party repair efforts with outside vendors Perform equipment firmware updates as needed
Ensure sound safety and risk policies and procedures through assigned areas
Provide recommendations on Capital Expenditure and planning
Promote teamwork and communication between all warehouse operations Assists other departments as needed
Education & Experience
Trade School Certificate in electronics repair or work history equivalent
High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
