Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Daily activities must be done without interruption (no cell phone calls, texting, ear buds, etc. while performing required tasks).

  • Work closely with the dedicated ERP core team to understand, communicate, and implement SCM’s business and system’s needs. Be able to articulate, in writing and verbally, clearly and concisely, the role of SCM to related departments and business processes.

  • Function as Supply Chain lead with other integrated business relationships.

  • Create and maintain process and system documentation related to all job functions and business procedures.

  • Responsible for the coordination, interpretation and analyzing of ERP SCM functions, design, testing as well as maintenance and troubleshooting. Be able to articulate changes clearly so that others can easily understand the system functionality.

  • Perform system testing, documentation, troubleshooting, training and support for all SCM systems, including but not limited to the ERP, EDI, Point of Use, any internally or externally supported systems when appropriate and as needed. Develop and maintain all test plans and scripts. Coordinate successful testing and training with all end users and report back to the team.

  • Develop system scope, design and objectives for SCM modules and/or solutions or project plans, maintaining documentation, testing, troubleshooting. Work closely with end users to ensure project milestones are being realized. Monitor that compliance is achieved and maintained where appropriate.

  • Support end-user departments and cross-functional work teams by analyzing data to determine appropriate stock levels to sustain daily operations; work with key operational stakeholders and Supply Chain on improvement efforts and programs’ lead department specific projects including research, identifying and increasing efficiency and/or reduce cost to the organization.

  • Assist in coordination of special projects and/or requests.

  • Assume supervisory role for department in the absence of the Director.

  • Maintain professional communication, cooperation, and coordination with internal department leads regarding Supply Chain services.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and cooperation to cover for staff out of the area and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor Degree Required, Graduate degree preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Healthcare Supply Chain, Procurement and Inventory operations.

  • Accounting, Finance and Project Management experience is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years’ Work Day ERP experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.

  • Possess working knowledge of GPO’s and contracts.

  • Must understand and adhere to hospital and department policies and procedures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize facilities ERP system.

  • Must be an organized, self-starter with problem solving skills and demonstrate flexibility and cooperation while working in a fast-paced, multi-task working environment.

  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
