  • Develop and implement policies as code to enforce standards and best practices across cloud environments, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational guidelines.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of tools and systems for managing and monitoring standards, including automated workflows and reporting mechanisms.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and prioritize standards, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and engineering leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Drive initiatives to streamline and automate processes related to standards management and enforcement, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Monitor and report on standards compliance, identifying areas of non-compliance and implementing corrective actions as needed.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies related to governance and compliance, incorporating relevant insights into the organization's standards framework.

  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with cross-functional teams to facilitate awareness and understanding of standards and their implications.

  • Develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate stakeholders on standards, policies, and procedures, promoting awareness and adherence throughout the organization.

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, facilitating audits and remediation efforts as necessary.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

  • 6-8 years of experience leading engineering teams in the delivery of mission critical systems.

  • 5 years of technical leadership experience, including experience leading other technical leaders

  • Demonstrated success in leading the execution of complex shared services offerings.

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles, including infrastructure as code, microservices architecture, and containerization

  • Mastery of cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing

  • Experience implementing standards and policy enforcement in a large enterprise environment

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • 8-10 years of experience leading engineering teams in the delivery of mission critical systems.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Proficiency in Agile and Product-driven delivery

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate with senior business and IT stakeholders effectively and clearly and to sell a technical strategy and vision

  • Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with, and consensus amongst, multiple stakeholders with varying points of view

  • Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

  • Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances

  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
