Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the service industry, located in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for processing weekly vendor payments, maintaining accurate vendor data, and reviewing vendor statements. Additionally, you will assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Process weekly vendor payments, including credit card, ACH, wire, and check, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.

• Enter, save, and upload vendor invoices, ensuring correct coding according to purchase orders.

• Audit and validate vendor invoice submissions for accuracy, including verifying sales tax compliance.

• Process and approve employee expense reports on a weekly basis.

• Retrieve and compile vendor invoice copies for client backup on a monthly basis.

• Assist with the preparation and distribution of 1099s for independent contractors.

• Investigate and resolve vendor inquiries and disputes promptly and professionally.

• Conduct thorough reviews and corrections of assigned G/L accounts.

• Maintain accurate vendor data, including payment terms, payment methods, and addresses; request updated information from long-term vendors as necessary.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Procurement and Finance, to ensure seamless operations and accurate financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations across all accounts payable activities.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function. Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA would be an advantage

• Must possess strong skills in Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is required

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is essential

• Should be adept at handling the General Ledger

• Knowledge of Journal Entries is necessary

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close is essential

• NetSuite skills are a must

• Should have experience with Oracle

• Proficiency in SAP is required

• Prior experience in the Service industry is preferred

• Must have held a similar position such as Sr. Accountant in previous roles

• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills are necessary

• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High attention to detail and accuracy is required

• Should possess the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Must adhere to confidentiality and uphold ethical standards

• Adaptability and the ability to learn quickly is essential.
