Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This role is in the service industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for handling various financial tasks including preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, handling elimination entries, conducting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, and providing technical expertise and advice on accounting policies.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements that adhere to US GAAP.

• Handle all necessary elimination entries to prevent double counting of revenue and expenses.

• Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations, account analysis, and the preparation of consolidated financial data.

• Address discrepancies due to fluctuating exchange rates through revaluations.

• Support and coordinate foreign currency translation and consolidation for subsidiaries.

• Utilize SAP system for recording, storing, and analyzing financial data, ensuring data accuracy and completeness through regular system checks.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors to support financial and internal control audits.

• Continually assess our internal control framework to identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Provide technical expertise, advice, and interpretations of accounting policy.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Proficiency in General Ledger and Journal Entries management.

• Strong expertise in using Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks.

• Experience with Month End Close and SAP is required.

• Knowledge of US GAAP is mandatory.

• Experience in Consolidations and Foreign Currency Translation is desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
