Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a large financial services firm in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will join the Foundational Infrastructure (FI) Engineering team. This is a critical role in the Windows Engineering function, responsible to architect, design and deliver our SLIs and SLOs to maintain a highly available Production environment. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

-Work with a global team of highly motivated platform engineers and software developers

-Adhere to and drive SRE disciplines and processes across the global Windows Engineering team.

-Balance feature development velocity and reliability with well-defined service level objectives (SLOs).

-Run the Production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health.

-Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network-specific events.

-Develop tools and services to automate the mitigation and remediation of network-specific events.

-Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.

-Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our global network.

-Drive incident management process and support a blameless post-mortems culture.

-Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning.

Skills and Requirements

-Minimum 5 years experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role or similar.

-Proficiency in PowerShell for extensive scripting or hands on with .NET

-Must have strong understanding of Windows operating systems

-Tools: (Kibana and Prometheus)

-Familiarity with Cloud Provider (Azure)

-Experience with algorithms, data structures and software design.

-Proactively identify efficiency and design improvements to existing systems and processes.

-Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding and / or systems engineering. -Experience working in an Enterprise environment

-Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting

-Coding beyond simple scripts null
