Robert Half Senior Fund Accountant in Dallas, Texas
Description If you have a background in accounting and are searching for a role with a highly respected Investment Management/Companies firm, Robert Half may have the Senior Accountant position for you. Your talents will be used to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and handle internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for challenging and fast-paced work environments will be successful in this position. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Investment Management/Companies field and is located in Dallas, Texas. Your responsibilities
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements - Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Deep understanding of Private Equity Fund
Fund accounting experience desired
Expertise in Microsoft Excel
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
ERP system experience
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
