Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Dallas, Texas. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out payroll operations for multiple entities and states on a weekly and biweekly basis. You will also handle employee record changes, respond to inquiries, and manage payroll-related reports.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out multi-state, multi-entity payroll operations on a weekly and biweekly basis

• Verify new permanent staff information provided by managers

• Handle changes to employee records including modifications in payroll deductions, rate changes, and terminations

• Address inquiries from supervisors related to pay discrepancies and timesheets

• Produce and update payroll approval reports for the Payroll Manager's final approval

• Respond promptly to employee inquiries

• Aid managers and employees in resolving payroll concerns

• Undertake assigned special projects

• Leverage UKG Pro for payroll management and seek assistance when issues emerge

• Carry out full cycle payroll operations utilizing skills in Multistate Payroll and UKG Pro.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using UKG Pro payroll software is mandatory.

• Extensive experience in managing multistate payroll is required.

• Demonstrated ability to handle full cycle payroll, from data collection to processing and distribution.

• Must possess a deep understanding of payroll laws and regulations within the restaurant industry.

• Previous experience in a similar role within the restaurant industry is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills are needed for accurate payroll calculations.

• Excellent attention to detail is essential for data accuracy.

• Good communication skills are necessary for liaising with employees and management regarding payroll matters.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial due to the sensitive nature of the data handled.

• Should be able to handle high-stress situations and meet tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required for data management and reporting.

• Certification as a Detail Oriented Payroll Individual would be a plus.
