Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Plan, research, develop and create opportunities for community engagement and partnership aligned with Scottish Rite’s brand and messaging.

  • Determine and develop outreach priorities and themes for a long-range strategy, with the direction of the Sr. Editorial Manager and in collaboration with a team of marketing and creative professionals.

  • Establish, execute and manage administrative process of onboarding partnerships and maintain relationships, optimizing and analyzing activations within the respective engagements.

  • Engage with community members and various opportunities to educate about the organization’s mission.

  • Curate and develop collateral for various projects and plans for partnership and outreach efforts. Understand Scottish Rite’s target audiences to evolve the brand's voice through creative and useful content.

  • Coordinate the necessary creative resources required for each project within the Comms team.

  • Work in collaboration internally and externally to create and elevate projects that reflect the institution’s brand while monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure projects are executed on time and within budget; communicating with clients and escalating issues as needed.

  • Keep up-to-date of new trends in partnerships and outreach as well as communications, marketing and processes to improve effectiveness and efficiencies.

  • Help team establish and maintain deadlines for all outreach projects. Complete the project calendar to include deadlines, responsibilities and key contacts.

  • Learn to use the Epic/EMR system and other organization programs; perform other related duties as assigned

    Required Skills/Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in a multidisciplinary communications, creative services environment or agency setting

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts

  • Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to secure cooperation with internal and external customers to meet objectives in a deadline sensitive environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment with a variety of internal departments and external vendors/partners

  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of medical and administrative staff. High degree of professionalism required

  • Superior organization, planning and time management skills essential. Must work well under deadline pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfortable working with Mac and PC operating systems, including knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Problem solving skills and able to multitask, prioritize assignments and work well in challenging situations

  • Ability to adhere to and follow established processes with solid decision-making skills
