Salad and Go Operations Excellence/Industrial Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Salad and Go is seeking an Operations Excellence/Industrial Engineer to develop and implement continuous improvement programs using key Lean/Six Sigma principles. This position will be onsite at our new 120,00 square foot facility in Garland, TX.
As the Operations Excellence/Industrial Engineer, you will:
Streamline the manufacturing process with the goal of eliminating waste and improving efficiency
Prioritize and coordinate improvement projects
Analyze process data to identify trends, performance results, and opportunities for improvement
Plan/Lead Lean Sigma, process improvement, and capital projects
Manage engineering projects schedules and budgets
Recommend cost and process improvement projects for future years for the food manufacturing plants
Assist food manufacturing facilities with SOP standardization and development, and operator training plan implementation
Assist production team with commissioning of new equipment
Develop and audit Value Stream Maps to identify process improvement opportunities
Develop, manage, and monitor KPI’s relevant to the process and business
Train and mentor team members in the use of lean tools, ensuring transfer of knowledge, and creating a culture of continuous improvement
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required
A minimum of four years of experience leading and implementing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives in a food manufacturing environment preferred
Fresh produce, food and beverage or similar industry experience required
Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations strongly preferred
Experience implementing root cause analysis systems
Green Belt Six Sigma or comparative experience
Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving tools/methods
Experience with data collection and data analysis with the goal of identifying improvement opportunities
Strong communication skills, time management and self-direction
Demonstrated, strong project management skills required
