Salad and Go is seeking an Operations Excellence/Industrial Engineer to develop and implement continuous improvement programs using key Lean/Six Sigma principles. This position will be onsite at our new 120,00 square foot facility in Garland, TX.

As the Operations Excellence/Industrial Engineer, you will:

• Streamline the manufacturing process with the goal of eliminating waste and improving efficiency

• Prioritize and coordinate improvement projects

• Analyze process data to identify trends, performance results, and opportunities for improvement

• Plan/Lead Lean Sigma, process improvement, and capital projects

• Manage engineering projects schedules and budgets

• Recommend cost and process improvement projects for future years for the food manufacturing plants

• Assist food manufacturing facilities with SOP standardization and development, and operator training plan implementation

• Assist production team with commissioning of new equipment

• Develop and audit Value Stream Maps to identify process improvement opportunities

• Develop, manage, and monitor KPI’s relevant to the process and business

• Train and mentor team members in the use of lean tools, ensuring transfer of knowledge, and creating a culture of continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required

• A minimum of four years of experience leading and implementing Lean and continuous improvement initiatives in a food manufacturing environment preferred

• Fresh produce, food and beverage or similar industry experience required

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations strongly preferred

• Experience implementing root cause analysis systems

• Green Belt Six Sigma or comparative experience

• Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving tools/methods

• Experience with data collection and data analysis with the goal of identifying improvement opportunities

• Strong communication skills, time management and self-direction

• Demonstrated, strong project management skills required
