AT&T Lead Benefits Consultant in Dallas, Texas

Job Description:

This position is located in Downtown Dallas, TX and requires office presence a minimum of 3x per week.

As a Lead Benefits Consultant, you will be a subject matter expert responsible for the administration of retirement plan benefits. You must be able to read and interpret benefit plan documents and have general knowledge of ERISA, IRC, DOL and other legal or regulatory requirements. You will manage third party benefit administrators, including their overall performance, compliance with benefit plan documents, operational requirements, change management and problem resolution. You must be able to evaluate plan designs for implementation and review/draft vendor contracts and work orders. You will project manage efforts to review and implement benefit changes and operational efficiencies, setting assumptions as provided from various stakeholders. You will develop and summarize analysis from plan data and operational outputs. You will work with internal and external organizations to improve and, as necessary, customize operational processes. You will be familiar with AT&T payroll systems, SAP and Workday, and be able to manage the flow of employee data from AT&T subsidiaries, departments, and payrolls to external vendors. You will perform financial or operational analysis of benefit plan performance.

Required Skills:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in benefits administration and project management.

  • Create and deliver presentations to various audiences that tell a compelling story.

  • Leadership and analytical abilities, as well as excellent interpersonal, oral, negotiation and written communication skills are essential.

  • Qualified candidates should have the ability to deal with ambiguous and complex problems, analyze detailed data and provide input on recommendations, service improvements and alternative business situations.

  • Financial experience

  • A successful candidate will be a problem solver who can mediate and communicate persuasively to all levels of leadership.

  • Must have the proven ability to assess operational models and identify savings opportunities within the confines of plan or regulatory provisions.

Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills:

  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.

  • Actuarial training or accreditation and/or a Bachelors and/ or Masters degree in Human Resources, MBA or Finance or Math are a plus.

  • Third party benefit administrator experience and mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.

$105,600.00 - $158,400.00
