We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Sales Service Specialist with our corporate office located in Dallas, TX.

ACCOUNTABILITY

This position is accountable to the Sales Service Manager – Dallas.  This role is international in scope and has direct oversite of international logistics and distribution for all OxyChem products. This role effectively and reliably executes customer quotes and orders (from order-to-cash) contributing to approximately US$500 MM in annual sales, all while exceeding expectations and delivering unparallel customer care.

DIMENSIONS

This position will oversee and manage all aspects of international sales service of OxyChem products through direct sales and distribution channels, export customer relationship management, supplier and vendor service management, and compliance measures to ensure a high level of knowledge of customers, plants, products and documentary requirements for each international sales region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position reports directly to the Sales Service Manager – Dallas. Principal responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Sales Order-to-Cash Management – Responsible for the entire progression of the order to cash process including quotations, samples, confirming pricing, rates and other associated costs, checking product availability, booking and shipment of orders, as well as SAP final billing processes and other month end close activities. Provide timely communication with customers and external and internal partners.
     
  2. International Sales - Collaborate with international commercial managers on the execution of sales plans and ensure that key account sales strategies along with target account plans by product line are implemented. Establish price quotations in accordance with international pricing policies. Responsibly secure logistics/freight services pricing providing target netbacks. Provide competitive information and market intelligence to the business consistent with business strategies to assist with delivering on annual sales plans.
     
  3. Customer Account Management – Provide unparalleled customer service and care by ensuring orders are placed accurately and timely. Follow up with customer inquiries on status of shipments, delays, and payment. Investigate claims from customers for damaged product, rejected goods quality discrepancies, and logistical issues/charges; obtain business approval to initiate CAR (Customer Action Reviews). Provide debits, credits, and or rebates per procedures to be approved by the Sales Service Manager.
     
  4. 3rd Party Supplier and Vendor Relationship Management – Develop/manage robust relationships with freight forwarders, sales agents, non-vessel owner common carriers (NVOCC’s), surveyors and other related export service providers to include documentation questions, response times, auditing of files and invoice reconciliation. Develop and design SOPs (standard operating procedures) when onboarding new service providers.  
     
  5. Export Regulations – Master an in-depth knowledge of Incoterms, export regulations and all aspects of international shipments such as ocean, truck and airfreight, insurance, letters of credit, port charges, inspection/survey requirements, duties, customs, and surveys. Collaborate with internal transportation compliance management to say abreast of global regulatory changes, processes, and procedures.
     
  6. IT and Technology – Continually learn and master SAP related transactions and functionality. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best-known practices. Investigate opportunities to implement robotics technology to streamline or improve work processes and procedures.
     
  7. Employee Safety – Maintain a safe work environment in the office or at home office that is consistent with all Oxy HESS guidelines and safety requirements. Provide safety moments during meetings and seek opportunities to provide safety-based suggestions/improvements.
     
  8. Compliance – Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed. Complete all required compliance training. Monitor and ensure AES and Denied Party screenings for all transactions are performed prior to shipment. Support all compliance-related activities including anti-boycott reviews, quarterly commission agent reviews, United States-Mexico-Canada (USMCA) compliance and 3rd party consultant management and certificate of origin measures. Ensure work processes are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley controls for associated risks within job-related activities. Participate in annual U.S. Export Compliance Audits. Raise any compliance-related concerns or questions immediately.
     
  9. Sustainability – Support OxyChem’s sustainability initiatives by identifying ways to improve the environment and the communities we live in. Seek opportunities to educate customers on Oxy-endorsed products and partnerships such as: Water Missions, The Alliance to End Plastic Waste, Responsible Care, and the Vinyl Sustainability Council, the emphasize our continued mission to make OxyChem the supplier of choice.
