Floor Technician – Environmental Services

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time Days, (7:00 AM -3:30 PM) for 40 hrs/week with rotating weekends

Environmental Services Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Pref

· 1 Year relevant experience with floor cleaning equipment in an institutional setting Pref

What You Will Do

· Operates floor maintenance equipment, including but not limited to, floor polish/burnisher, high speed buffers, riding scrubbers or carpet cleaners/extractors to maintain floors and provide a clean, aesthetically pleasing environment.

· Maintains equipment in good working order. Cleans and stores equipment properly after each use.

· Reports equipment that is in need of repair or broken immediately to supervisor.

· Follows safety and infection control practices when: handling and disposing of regular and medical waste; practicing hand hygiene techniques; using standard isolation precautions.

· Safely uses the proper equipment for each assignment. Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies, according to procedure.

· Other duties as assigned including but not limited to wall washing, cubical curtain changing, vent and light cleaning, furniture moves and set ups, collection and transportation of trash.
