Finance & Treasury Analytics - Senior Analyst

Finance & Treasury Analytics within SC’s Finance division is a team consisting of quantitative finance professionals providing analytical support for SC’s vast Treasury, Capital Markets and Accounting functions. Key responsibilities of the team include analytical support for structured finance issuance, asset sale transactions, daily loan and lease warehouse maintenance, optimization of assets for sale, valuation of assets and liabilities, producing monthly and quarterly accounting reports, occasional accounting reconciliations, accounting audit support, creation of cash flow models, and performance monitoring of over $50 billion of loans and leases.

The Sr. Analyst within the Finance & Treasury Analytics team shall be exposed to a diverse array of analytics pertaining to the above responsibilities of the team. Given the vastness of the analytical responsibilities of the team, the Analyst pool will be rotated through essential job functions of the team to get a broad exposure to the overall Finance analytics divided primarily across capital markets, treasury, and accounting operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Support creation and maintenance of statistical portfolio optimization tools and cash flow modeling

  • Performance monitoring (default, prepayment, recovery, etc.) of automobile loan and lease pools

  • Perform valuation analysis of loan and lease collateral using Intex, Bloomberg and other proprietary models

  • Support automated accounting reports creation and reconciliation. Support accounting Audit and month-end/quarter-end audit/close activities

  • Maintain Loan and Lease warehouses, rebalance/optimize the warehouse facilities based on daily and monthly changes in collateral composition and contractual needs

  • Execute removal/addition of loan/leases to bank warehouse facilities on a regular basis maintaining contractual agreements with several banks

  • Write and edit server queries in SQL/SAS for gathering large data sets for analysis, internal presentation, and external reports distribution

  • Assists with investor relations activities associated with the capital markets and asset management platforms, explaining loan collateral related issues

  • Produce/automate and maintain excel spreadsheet models/tools for repeatable tasks Create and write stored procedures, views, tables, DTS packages in Microsoft SQL

  • Work with data visualization tools like Tableau and create dashboards

Other Functions:

  • Carry out special projects as requested by management to address on-going automation initiatives, audit requests, and regulator queries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Quantitative Finance, MIS, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering

  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience working in business analytics is preferred

  • Experience requirement waived for candidates with certifications and formal education in a quantitative field (e.g., a Masters)

  • Formal training in at least one major programming language is preferred

  • Strong existing knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required, exposure to Visual Basic for Application (VBA) preferred

  • 3+ years of equivalent work experience

  • Data visualization skills using Tableau preferred

  • SQL experience preferably in Microsoft SQL Server preferred

  • Familiarity or exposure to complex financial modeling techniques preferred

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to work in fast moving environment under strict deadlines required

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.

Salary: $69,750 - $100,000/year
