Technician EKG Telemetry Monitor

We’re looking for qualified EKG Telemetry Monitor Technician to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work Location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

Work Hours: Full-time Days, Three 12-hour day shifts per week for 36 hours/week; every other weekend and holiday requirements

Here’s What You Need

  • 1 Year in health care environment involving direct patient care Preferred

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And

  • CCT - Certified Cardiographic Technician 6 Months Preferred Or

  • NCET - Nationally Certified ECG Technician 6 Months Preferred

  • Resting ECG and ambulatory ECG monitoring. Computer skills and customer service skills

What You Will Do

  • Produces quality resting electrocardiograms (ECG) and ambulatory ECGs following department policies and procedures.

  • Employs relevant guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association (AHA) and American College of Cardiology (ACC) including scope of practice.

  • Accurately monitor and document patient rhythms according to department policy and procedures.

  • Conveys appropriate, relevant information to physicians and other health care providers.

  • Communications effectively.

  • Demonstrates safe, proactive patient care skills.

  • Demonstrates basic computer skills.

  • Demonstrates proper utilization and upkeep of equipment.

  • Active participation in equipment research and evaluation.

  • Performs work timely and complete.

  • Follows infection control and patient safety guidelines.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and quality assurance.

  • Performs all duties in compliance with HIPAA, JACHO hospital and department standards and policies.
