Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Benefits to join our Human Resources team. This individual will lead the development, implementation, and administration of all benefits programs, ensuring they align with our company's goals and values. This position will play a critical role in enhancing our employees' overall well-being, fostering a positive work environment, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning : Develop and implement a comprehensive benefits strategy that supports the company's objectives and enhances employee satisfaction.

  • Program Management : Oversee all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other voluntary benefits.

  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local benefits regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and ACA.

  • Vendor Management : Manage relationships with benefits vendors and brokers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

  • Communication : Design and execute effective communication strategies to educate employees about their benefits options and promote utilization.

  • Data Analysis : Analyze benefits data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Budget Management : Develop and manage the benefits budget, ensuring cost-effective program administration.

  • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor the benefits team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant experience required.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in benefits management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Extensive knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.

  • Advanced skills in Excel, including data analysis and reporting.

  • Analytical Excellence: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions that optimize benefits programs.

  • Innovative Communicator: Excellent communication skills, capable of designing and executing effective benefits communication strategies.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or CEBS certification is highly preferred.
