Description

Fantastic opportunity for Controller to join growing manufacturing/distribution and retail firm in Fashion District Area of Dallas. This role is pivotal in overseeing the company's finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, inventory management, and coordination with CPA firms for tax-related matters. You will be the key financial person for the owner, providing critical insights and analysis on the company's financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management of accounts payable, including reviewing AP, processing, and cutting checks.

• Work closely with clerks on accounts receivable and collections.

• Handle credit card and bank reconciliations.

• Manage inventory control and write-offs for obsolete inventory.

• Carry out accounting tasks for several warehouse properties.

• Coordinate with CPA firms for tax-related matters.

• Prepare financial reports for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Use accounting software systems and Excel to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.

• Handle full cycle accounting, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

• Proactively take charge of accounting and finance for the company.

In addition to the above, you will also be involved in accounting for several others entities owned by the owner involving real estate, fuel and aviation.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems - exposure to CRUZE a big plus

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven knowledge of Auditing procedures

• Experience in managing Budget Processes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience in Financial Reporting

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Accounting is required

• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field; Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus

• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
