Staxmatic, LLC Commercial HVAC Start-Up Technician II in Dallas, Texas
Overview: The Commercial HVAC Start-Up Technician will be responsible for the start-up, commissioning, and testing of commercial HVAC systems. This role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure systems are installed correctly and functioning efficiently before handing them over to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Job Description:
Knowledge of chillers, boilers, air handlers, and HVAC systems
Performs pre-functional inspections/checklist and start-up of commercial HVAC systems
Performs installation, diagnostic and repairs on refrigeration systems at time of startup and warranty period
Reading of and understanding of control wiring and low voltage wiring diagrams
Interprets blueprints, submittal data and installation/operation manuals to provide complete startup per manufactures recommendations
Documents work by completing all paperwork on each job for each piece of equipment.
Assist installation mechanics in completing and mounting of field installed devices on equipment prior to start up as needed
Work with Commissioning agents as required and complete required documentation
Walks, stands and climbs ladders· Works indoors and outdoors
Operates various testing instruments
Start-Up and Troubleshoot air and water distribution systems, duct work and piping
Wires, vacuums, troubleshoots, commissions and reads plans
Properly performs soldering & amp; brazing of piping and components
Properly handles and transfers refrigerants, per EPA requirement
Requirements:
2-3 years minimum experience in installation and startup of HVAC equipment
Communication and customer service skills
Computer skills in using Microsoft office and/or IPad for generation of field reports/startup forms
Knowledge of control and equipment sequence of operations
VRF installation and startup is a plus
High School Diploma or GED required
Valid TX /CO Driver’s License required
EPA certificate required
OSHA 30 preferred. (OSHA 10 is OK)
Minimum 2-3 years of start-up and related experience
Knowledge RTU’s, DX, VAV’s and VRF
Works well in a team environment
Schedule is 7:00am - 3:30pm
