Birth Registrar - Full Time - Day

We’re looking for a qualified Birth Registrar to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work hours: Full Time: Day Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30PM. Must be available for 1 week of system training in Arlington, TX

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required

• 2 Years Customer Service Experience Required and

• 1 Year Healthcare experience including Medical Records (HIM) Preferred

• Other AOP Certification Upon Hire Req And

• Other Texas Birth Registrar Certification Upon Hire Req And

• Other Digital Fingerprinting Background Check Upon Hire Req And

• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 90 Days Req

• Requires great written, oral, and telephone communication skills.

• Requires proficiency in general office equipment, PCs, and associated software packages.

• Medical terminology preferred.

• Ability to multi-task and utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize daily work.

What You Will Do

• Accurately retrieves required information and identification for timely completion of birth certificate following all necessary steps to ensure validity.

• Clearly and effectively communicates Texas Laws and regulations of paternity to intended parents to ensure understanding and compliance.

• Ensures compliance with state of Texas laws and regulations.

• Obtains completed ImmTrac (Texas Immunization) Registration Form and Social Security Form from parent.

• Assists parents with paternity paperwork, denials, and information changes.

• Knowledge in all areas of birth registration including Surrogacy and Adoption.

• Meets all required deadlines including submitting documentation within 5 days of every birth and can efficiently work in a fast-paced environment.
