We are offering an opportunity for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The individual will play a critical role in our legal proceedings, which includes the preparation of legal documents and representation of clients in court. The role involves a high degree of responsibility and requires a comprehensive understanding of legal procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare related documents

• Lead case strategy meetings and provide creative solutions to complex legal issues

• Represent clients in court and conduct depositions effectively

• Handle day-to-day litigation tasks, including the preparation of pleadings, memoranda of law, and written discovery

• Manage multiple cases independently while maintaining high attention to detail

• Process legal briefings and documents pertaining to civil and commercial litigation

• Utilize case management software to maintain accurate client records

• Develop litigation skills necessary for successful case management and resolution

• Participate actively in various sections of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and Dallas Bar Association

• Communicate directly with clients, offering early and honest case assessments.

Requirements

• Possession of a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be an active member of the Texas State Bar with a good standing record

• A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing in the legal field, particularly in civil litigation and commercial litigation

• Proficiency in using Case Management Software and Document Management tools

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and present briefings

• Experience in handling complex business litigation and defense litigation

• Familiarity with the process of litigation filing and the preparation of litigation documents

• Experience in insurance defense litigation is a plus

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the ethical standards of the legal profession.
