This position will be considered a leader for our Pricing and Yield Management team inside of the Revenue Management Division.
What you'll do
In conjunction with a manager, lead a team of analysts to develop their technical, analytical, and strategic thinking skills to optimize revenue opportunities within American’s network.
Support a team of analysts in professional development to improve productivity and efficiency helping build the next generation of leaders.
Use advanced models and tools to forecast changes to the competitive environment and passenger demand, oversee report development and systems maintenance, ensures corporate sales programs are implemented, including but not exclusive in the following areas: legal documents, approvals, fare filing by AA and its partners, external pricing instructions, contract management, amongst others.
Drive a competitive advantage that translates into actionable items and assists analysts with problem-solving
Leverage a variety of reports and analyze changes in the competitive landscape to identify high-level trends and strategies to make evidence-based decisions and drive revenue growth
Engage with business counterparts both internal and external to develop a relationship with partner teams including Network Planning, Marketing, IT, and Sales and Alliances to identify opportunities to improve revenue performance.
All you'll need for success
Minimum qualifications:
3 years of experience in related RM field
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Aviation Management, Data Science, or any related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree
Proficiency with SQL
Experience with Python/R/SAS
Experience in deal modeling in Cosmos
Skills
Thorough understanding of the core economics that drive the airline industry with ability to translate regional trends into market-level action
Comfortable setting clear quantitative goals, challenging a group of individuals to deliver results-oriented outcomes and setting strategic direction
Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to perform ad hoc analyses, digest large quantities of data, including the ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations
Ability to lead and influence others to create consensus and achieve results
Strong written/oral communication skills and comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization including senior leadership
Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills, demonstrates proactiveness and comfortable being self-directed
