Overview

Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer/SME (RDTE):

Bowhead seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer/SME to join our innovative team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in MBSE to make critical recommendations on infrastructure requirements, data requirements, and platform selections. Your insights will shape the foundation of our engineering processes and drive efficiency across our projects.

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Utilize MBSE methodologies to analyze and recommend infrastructure requirements

  • Develop comprehensive data requirements to support complex system modeling

  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate platforms for MBSE implementation

Implement and optimize the use of key engineering tools, including but not limited to:

  • SolidWorks

  • MATLAB/Simulink

  • Cameo Systems Modeler

  • Magic Draw

  • Innoslate

  • Core

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of MBSE practices

  • Provide guidance and mentorship on MBSE best practices to team members

  • Explore and implement integration possibilities with other tools like DOORS and Jama

Qualifications

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering

  • Bachelors degree prefered

  • Proven expertise in SolidWorks, MATLAB/Simulink, and Cameo Systems Modeler

  • Familiarity with other MBSE tools such as Magic Draw, Innoslate, and Core

  • Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS and Jama is a plus

  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and data requirements in engineering environments

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Experience in implementing MBSE methodologies in large-scale projects

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Rust is beneficial

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Top Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
