Amazon Web Services’ Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team is looking for experienced professionals to help build the world’s premier cloud computing platform. We are looking for a candidate with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain experience capable of operating independently in a fast-paced, dynamic and ambiguous environment. Our Networking New Product Introduction (NPI) team in Supply Chain partners with our engineering and capacity deployment teams, suppliers and data center operations to launch new products to support AWS Networking's product launch plans. They are also responsible for integrating across supply chain commodity managers to maintain continuity of supply while minimizing risk for excess and obsolete materials.
Executes strategic plans that improve service, productivity and quality, and that align to the overall organization vision.
Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of the supply chain activities.
Prepare and provide detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management, focused on new product launches.
Drive strategic BOM reviews to ensure multi-sourcing of critical components and timely qualifications.
Drive strategic inventory of long-lead, unique materials in a timely manner to ensure successful launch and post-launch scaling.
Develop and implement systems of accountability to ensure ongoing, measurable performance improvement.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field, or additional 4+ Years work experience in supply chain or sourcing or procurement of hardware in lieu of a degree
• 4+ years of work experience in program, project, or product management, or leading an implementation of a product, or 2+ years with advanced degree
• 2+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables ,SQL, Tableau, etc..
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in engineering or other quantitative disciplines
Experience in manufacturing or quality
Strong business and financial acumen
Program management with integrated scheduling and milestone tracking
Ability to influence cross functionally across engineering, deployment, procurement and external partners
Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Amenability to thrive in a startup-like environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
