Together with your team, you’ll provide the critical support needed worldwide for all Apple products and businesses. We are looking for a litigator with great judgment and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage the day to day progress of content, AI/ML, and non-patent IP litigation cases worldwide—spanning copyright, trademark, design rights, and right of publicity. You will be a self-starter who can quickly learn Apple's content, AI/ML, and non-patent IP litigation docket and practices, identify and manage risks and exposures, find strategic opportunities for resolution, and distill complex legal concepts into practical business guidance quickly.

Description

As a member of Apple's IP Litigation case management team, you will not be merely monitoring outside counsel. Rather, you will be directly engaged in formulating and driving strategy as well as providing counsel to internal clients on content, AI/ML, and non-patent IP litigation matters across the globe and a wide range of novel copyright, trademark, design rights, and right of publicity issues. The position requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment and a trial-focused approach. You will operate as part of a supportive and fun team of lawyers, legal specialists and support staff who work closely together to protect Apple's interests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of major law firm and/or in-house content (media and entertainment), AI/ML, and non-patent IP litigation experience, including litigating copyright, trademark, design rights, and right of publicity claims.

  • JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • AI/ML and generative AI counseling experience a plus.

  • Music licensing experience a plus.

  • Content and rights clearance counseling experience a plus.

  • Strong technology interest and aptitude.

  • Preference given to candidates who have significant trial and/or arbitration experience.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills are essential.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $193,000 and $290,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
